Built in the 19th century as a sugar refinery, the neo classical Grand Hotel Waterloo is situated 3.5 kilometres from Waterloo's famous battlefield. The 79 modern guestrooms are decorated in warm earth tones, and include wireless Internet, televisions, minibars, hair dryers, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Guests can dine in the brasserie style restaurant, set in the hotel's historic cellar vaults and extending onto the terrace, or enjoy historically named cocktails (Bonaparte, NapolΘon and Blⁿcher) in the library style bar. Active guests can make use of the hotel's fitness equipment, while for business guests there are four fully equipped meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 80 people in a variety of layouts. Nearby attractions include the Wellington Museum one kilometre way, and Waterloo Battlefield with its visitor centre and wax museum, as well as the famous Lion Hill, 3.5 kilometres from the hotel. Brussels International Airport is 14 kilometres away, around 15 minutes by car.

Taxis are available from the airport, or rail services may be used, changing at Brussels for Waterloo station, which is 2 kilometres from the hotel.
From Brussels Airport follow signs to the R0 highway towards Waterloo. This becomes the Chausee de Tervuren, where the hotel is located.
